Mar 16, 2013 Growler Recommended I was surprised at first since the page said it was Horror but the first episodes revealed a true comedy,which is a sign that they don't take it just too seriously,but then I have been impressed by the sheer amount of feelings that came from Yuuko and Kage Yuuko. Oct 29, 2014 KittyToeKkuunnn Recommended Psychological, funny and horrific (in the good way) Dusk Maiden of Amnesia was to me a psychological problem solving romance anime that was on the verge of masterpiece. But they decided to bring the heroin back and that to me was their downfall. A few untied loose ends but not enough to hate the ending. Extreme sadness then overjoyed happiness flowed throughout the last few moments of the show, even a few tears swelled up in this 14 year old dork. There's a few hints that the series is alluding to something much darker, but this sense gets mostly swept away by the overall flirtiness that is Yuuko and her antics. Story: 8/10 While getting lost inside his school, the main lead, Teiichi, is approached by a beautiful girl wearing an old school uniform. The school setting was fairly interesting in the way it was done, since it was a mish-mash of buildings laid onto each other, resulting in a frankenstein school full of dead ends and abandoned areas where ghost stories thrive. The overall idea of mystery was not amazing; but the execution of the explanation was. I just wish they involved more side characters like they did in the manga, but I'm guessing budget and reception affected the anime in that aspect. Nevertheless its an amazing anime for RomCom lovers with a side for the Thrill seekers. 8/10 Great Watch!! Note: Only Watch the end of episode 12 if you really want a positively emotional ending. There is the zombie show that surpassed any great drama in storytelling, and there is the detective/mystery show that doesn't need murders or man-made puzzles to complicate the story. Then there is this, dusk maiden of amnesia, which blended ecchi, comedy, and horror together. Not only does the show have an interesting take on romance but it also shows how easy it is for people to trick themselves into being scared of what is not really there, which has to be what will overall separate this anime from the others.
